What is PDF/X?
PDF/X is a PDF variant standardized for print production — color profiles, fonts, and bleeds are constrained so the file prints reliably.
PDF/X (ISO 15930) is the print industry's safe-for-press subset of PDF. It mandates embedded fonts, defined output intents, and forbids transparency in older variants. Designers exporting to commercial printers typically use PDF/X-1a or PDF/X-4.
